1.
East of the fallen church a sullen scene unfolded under faded grays of a new twilight They sat closely with clasped hands on a wall made of cemented river rock In the unnecessary shade of a tired willow tree All of this scene setting for a man too scared to kiss what might have become Become his future bride It grew late without incidence Two disappointed souls regretted his failure Say it grew late with out incidence two disappointed souls regretted his failure They regretted his failures

If we did... If we did... I got a call the other day from that zoo Zookeeper panicked asking what I knew Not much until yesterday when it arrived on my doorstep Hiding something like a solicitor But with a trunk like that, who could be mistaken? Well, you can’t even fool the most naive of my friends Got this pink elephant in the room (We don’t even talk about it ) It won't listen, It won't listen (Even if we did) Got this pink elephant in the room (We don’t even talk about it ) It won't listen, It won't listen We took an oath of silence it seems Too young to run out of energy A circus can be so damning Chained up, among children laughing Zoo wasn’t much better But at this point none of that matters Got this pink elephant in the room (We don’t even talk about it ) It won't listen, It won't listen (Even if we did) Got this pink elephant in the room (We don’t even talk about it ) It won't listen, It won't listen We don't even talk about it and if we did... If we did... Surely you know someone with a gun, We can shoot it up then drag it through the doorway Instead we’ll just stand staring which won’t help things as it enters the kitchen Put away the pans and lock the doors 'cause things are coming undone You know you can’t stop a stampede, baby We'll stand in silence and wait for it to come Wait for it to come, Wait for it to come

We'll send somebody else next time, well you don’t have to Send somebody else next time, Well you don’t have to Adderall, what are they raving for? To feed the vultures Coffee talk just to cut them into friends We're drowning in the... Them overpaid executives, they’re fighting against us and they’ll determine market value Well tyranny is tyranny, I say Tyranny is tyranny Let it come from whom it may Tyranny is tyranny Let it come from whom it may Adderall, what are they raving for? To bleed the vultures Coffee talk just to cut them into friends We're drowning in the red After all, what are they paying me for? We’re never too sure Did we all just fool them all again? Yeah, we did, uh huh! Tyranny is reliable (one more year under the sun) Tyranny is hard to, it’s hard to beat (one more year under the sun) Tyranny is a proven mate (one more year under the sun) Tyranny is tyranny (one more year under the sun) (One more year under the sun) (One more year)

Veteran band members C. Lew (guitar/vocals) and Tim Preston (drums) recorded their 3rd EP live with new member, HCC (keys/vocals) at Blue Room Productions in Bethesda, Maryland. In collaboration with producer, mixing and mastering engineer Conrad Osipowicz, Megaphone Barons recorded three tracks during an epic two-hour session: “Pink Elephant” and “Send Somebody Else”—which first appeared on Menagerie (2011) –as well as a previously unrecorded pop-punk track “East Falls Church.”

Live follows their self-recorded debut EP, Menagerie (2011) and here.us.now. (2013). In addition to having several of their songs featured on radio stations–DC 101 and HFS Baltimore 97.5– their song "Soggy Ground" was named to DC 101’s Best of 2011 List.
